AERIAL LIFTS AND SCISSOR LIFTS ONLINE COURSE OVERVIEW
Aerial lift platforms are great tools to conduct work at heights and increase production efficiency. These machines lift personnel, tools and materials, from 10-12 feet in the air to as high as 100 feet.
Successful completion of this course will result in familiarization with various types of aerial lifts, increased knowledge of how to set up and safely operate them, and recognition and avoidance of the most common hazards associated with their use.

AERIAL LIFTS AND SCISSOR LIFTS ONLINE COURSE TOPICS
- Looks at different types of lifts and their anatomy
- Shows why it’s important to conduct a thorough pre-shift inspection each day before putting a lift into service
- Looks at aerial lift stability and the importance of knowing the machine’s capacity
- Emphasizes the importance of planning each lift and setting up the machine properly to avoid hazards and obstacles around the work site
- Identifies the six most common hazards associated with aerial lift operation and explains how to recognize, avoid or minimize them
AERIAL LIFTS AND SCISSOR LIFTS ONLINE COURSE DURATION: Approximately 90 minutes
AERIAL LIFTS AND SCISSOR LIFTS ONLINE TEST: Testing conducted throughout this online Aerial Lifts and Scissor Lifts course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved on the first attempt.
AERIAL LIFTS AND SCISSOR LIFTS CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION: Upon completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
This course was created using standards that will allow playback on most Internet-capable devices with standard web browsing capabilities including Apple’s iTouch, iPad, and iPhone, as well as most other smart phones and tablets including those with Android and Windows operating systems.

ONLINE DEFENSIVE DRIVING 3 DEMERIT REDUCTION PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This 6 hour online Defensive Driving program is approved by the Alberta Government for reduction of 3 demerits points from an Alberta operator’s licence. A minimum mark of 80% must be obtained on the final exam to qualify for the demerit point reduction.
This program contains audio, video, and interactive exercises. If you are looking for a comprehensive defensive driving program that also is approved for demerit reduction, then this is it. This program teaches the trademarked SAFER System of Defensive Driving.
In order to receive a reduction in demerits, you are required to successfully complete this course and then register your information online at DriversRegistration.ca. A government notice-of-completion form will be mailed to you within 7 business days. Bring your notice-of-completion form together with your online Defensive Driving program certificate of completion to a local registry office in the province of Alberta. Alberta residents are eligible for a 3 demerit reduction once every 2 years.
Non-Alberta residents can take this program, but they will not qualify to receive the 3 demerit point reduction; they only receive an online course completion certificate.

ONLINE DEFENSIVE DRIVING 3 DEMERIT REDUCTION PROGRAM TEST: Testing conducted in this online Defensive Driving 3 Demerit Reduction Program is designed to reinforce the information presented. ONLINE DEFENSIVE DRIVING 3 DEMERIT REDUCTION PROGRAM CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION: Alberta residents who achieve the required passing mark will receive an Alberta course completion certificate. This certificate, together with the government notice-of-completion form received in the mail 7 business days after registering at DriversRegistration.ca, can be taken into any registry in Alberta to receive a 3 demerit point reduction.
Non Alberta residents can download and print a course completion certificate online immediately upon successful completion of the program.
